Seven Rivers Region Fulbright Association Meeting: Impacts of Recent Federal Politics on International Education in the

The Council of Graduate Studies reports that, since January 2017, international student applications for American universities is down 30%.  During the same time period, applications for Canadian universities is up 40%.

Please join us for the Spring 2017 Seven Rivers Region Fulbright Association meeting for a panel discussion on Impacts of Recent Federal Politics on International Education in the United States.

Representatives from Luther College, Winona State, and UW-La Crosse will give their thoughts on how proposed travel bans and other restrictions concerning non-Americans have affected American campuses.  While the panel's comments will center on international students studying (or wanting to study) in the United States, impacts upon study abroad programs will also be discussed.

In addition to the panel discussion, the May 6 meeting will include the annual business meeting of the Seven Rivers Region Fulbright Association.
