Portfolio Development Hunker

Faculty and instructors at any stage of their career are invited to this supported working session focused on developing portfolio materials for retention, tenure, or promotion. Portfolio materials carefully and consistently developed over several years best serve candidates under review. This session will particularly support the development of narrative statements and the teaching evidence for your portfolio.  Consultants will be available to advise and/or provide feedback on materials and to help instructors think through developing the portfolio-ready items demonstrating instructional goals such as effective teaching, teaching development, inclusive excellence, and the assessment of student learning.

Please consult your department bylaws to determine what portfolio content you will need for retention and tenure decisions;  instructors aiming at promotion are strongly encouraged to review all the information on the Provost's Promotion Resources site, including the videos offering advice from members of the Joint Promotion Committee.
