Econ for Breakfast

“The role of Craigslist in reducing female homicides.”

Presenter: Greg DeAngelo

His paper touches on some interesting empirical strategies and also highlights some public choice issues, such as moral repugnance as a constraint on markets.
For the discussion, he plans to spend time discussing how the idea came together, what data were needed, what gap in our understanding of the landscape is being filled and how markets can sometimes create safety in ways that public safety cannot.
