Are you planning on participating in a pre-student teaching clinical field experience spring semester?

The Clinical Field Experience Information Meeting for Spring 2018 registration will be held on Thursday, October 19, starting at 5:15 p.m. in 1400 Centennial Hall.

All Department of Educational Studies (EC-MC, MC-EA, and EC-A: Art, Music, Modern Language) and EA-A Secondary Teacher Education Preparation (STEP) teacher education students interested in participating in a clinical field experience for spring semester should plan to attend.

This includes all EDS, ECE, SPE, and STEP teaching and learning courses with field experience components.  This meeting is only for students who have been admitted to the School of Education and who have completed the prerequisites. Students should consult with their academic advisers regarding program and schedule details. This meeting does not pertain to PETE and SHE students. Teacher candidates who are currently student teaching or who are planning to student teach in Spring 2018 do not need to attend.

The purpose of the meeting is to present students with information on the online application procedures, criminal background check process, field experience expectations, scheduling classes, and registration processes. During the meeting, course instructors will also provide information regarding field experience options for the upcoming semester. Students will have the opportunity to indicate their preferences on the electronic field experience application, due Thursday, November 2, 2017.

The Field Experience Information Meeting will be recorded and available on the School of Education website for those who are unable to attend the session in person.
