Grasses, Sedges & Rushes

June 12–14, 2018 | 8 a.m.–5 p.m. | Cowley Hall, UW-La Crosse, La Crosse, Wis.

This workshop introduces participants to the basics of identification of grasses, sedges, and rushes; three graminoid families with species commonly found growing in wetlands and adjacent uplands. Lectures on taxonomy, plant structure and use of appropriate plant keys for identification are provided with a mixture of lab and field work. It is preferable but not required to take the Basic Plant ID workshop prior.
