Environmental Studies Service Learning Presentations

Four students in the Environmental Studies minor program will show what they learned through working with community partners.  These semester-long projects are in collaboration with mentors from a wide variety of organizations: environmental education with Wiscorps, passive house assessment with homeowners and Michael’s Energy, Food Recovery Network with Chartwells and Hunger Task Force, and invasive species control with Mississippi Valley Conservancy.  The students initiated and completed a work experience that allowed them to refine their environmental interests and professionalism.  Students gained networking opportunities while helping to make a difference on an issue of interest.  All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.
