Accounting Career Fair

Internship and Full-Time Employment Opportunities for Accountancy and Finance Students

Meet with representatives from accounting firms and other organizations at the Accounting Career Fair on Monday, Sept. 24 from 3-5 p.m. in The Bluffs, Student Union (2nd floor.) Get details through Handshake.

The fair is open to students of all academic levels.You don’t need to pre-register. A program listing all of the employers will be provided. You are encouraged to bring a padfolio and resumes. Career advisors will be onsite and ready to assist you.

Accountancy Interview Days: 
Tuesday, Sept. 25 in The Bluffs, Student Union (2nd floor) 
Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Career Services, 1140 Centennial Hall (1st floor)

Most organizations will conduct on-campus interviews.

How to prepare
For resume, interviewing, internship and employment offer assistance, we encourage you to make an appointment with Brenda Leahy, the career advisor for business majors. Schedule an appointment online through Handshake or email Brenda at bleahy@uwlax.edu. 

Employers expect professional dress for these events, especially if you re planning to interview. Click here for examples of what to wear.

After the fair and interviews, you may receive several offers. Don’t feel like you have to accept the first one. Make sure you’re making a choice that works for both you and the employer. It is always OK to ask for some time before you give a decision. We encourage you to be open and honest in all communication with employers.
